Members' meeting update

North Hills Church Family,
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, we held a special Members’ Meeting in accordance with the by-laws of North Hills Church to address the replacement of the sanctuary HVAC system, which has completely stopped functioning.

The deacons, through a recommendation presented by Jon McCartney, proposed installing three 5-ton HVAC units: two in the attic above the foyer and one in the closet to the right of the pulpit. The estimated cost for this plan was $40,000. The finance team recommended covering the expense through a combination of (1) members giving above and beyond regular giving through a special offering, (2) using the current year’s budget surplus of approximately $17,000 (as of the end of August), and (3) drawing the remainder from savings. These recommendations were presented together as one proposal.

During the discussion, an alternative was raised: to install only the two units above the foyer first and evaluate whether a third would be necessary. This option would reduce the immediate cost to about $25,000. A motion was made and approved by majority vote to move forward with installing the two units, with funding provided in the manner recommended by the finance team.

Work will begin as soon as possible. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. For those who feel led to give above your regular contributions toward this need, you may do so at the link below. Thank you for your prayerful support and faithful giving as we walk through this together.
